Science Heroes

  • Cape Vincent Recreation Center 602 S James Street (map)

The program, presented by a national group called Science Heroes, uses stories to teach science.

During the interactive 45-minute show, volunteers will help the performer conduct science experiments about chemical reactions, the transfer of energy, physical explosions, and the changing states of matter.

“Our summer reading show combines the magic of stories with the wonders of science to get kids excited about learning,” says Ken Nicholas, the company’s creative director. “Our hope is to inspire the next generation of ‘science heroes,’ one library at a time.”

According to the website, “Science Heroes” is suitable for children 4-12 and their families. Contact the library for registration requirements.

Since 2004, Science Heroes has performed for hundreds of thousands of children and has become one of the top STEM programs in the country. For more information go to TheScienceHeroes.com.
